There are moments, when parenting two small children, that may seem small to outsiders, but that are truly monumental to the parents. One such example is when the baby is sitting well enough that he can take a group bath with his sister. This is huge. Jack LOVES it, Lauren mostly tolerates it. She's used to having the bath tub all to herself and often whines that Jack isn't giving her enough room, but for the most part they coexist peacefully and sometimes even (gasp) play together. I'm not going to lie, when Sean's out of town I sometimes but them in the bath together even if they don't need it just for the five minutes of peace it brings me. Five minutes in the bath tub means five minutes that they're not destroying a room. And yes, they can destroy a room in five minutes. Flat.

The Power Family Blog
So all names Power are taken. Turns out Power is a very fun name to incorporate into a blog. So Life on Madison Avenue will have to do, and I like it because a) someone who stumbled across it might think it's very fancy, but really it's about a tiny little house in Kansas City and the four people and giant dog who inhabit it, and b) we've decided, for the time being, that we're going to stay in this tiny little house on Madison Avenue and try to make it work. Wish us luck. Anyway, this is where you'll see more family-related posts; I'll still do posts about each individual kid on their own blogs, but there were a lot of posts that involved all of us, or at least both of them, and I wanted a home for them, too. It's a little obnoxious to have three of them, I know, but I want to keep their individual blogs because they're basically my substitute for a baby book. And I like to keep you on your toes.
Welcome to our fun/crazy/sometimes exciting and interesting little world.
